Hey One Church.  I hope you are doing well as we transition to back to school times.  Here are the anti-racism resources for August:

• The reading this month is an article by Peggy McIntosh. The article is about white privilege.  I know that is something that we are aware of but I thought it would be good to refresh ourselves about this concept.  Ms. McIntosh’s metaphor to understand white privilege is a backpack. Here is a link to the article 
•  The movie this month is Remember the Titans.  This is based off a true story of the integration of two football teams (one white & one black) in Virginia in 1971.    
• The podcast for the month is an episode of No Small Endeavor with Lee C. Camp.  The episode is the June 16 podcast interview with Jemar Tisby about the Spirit of Justice. 
•  Our person for August is Thoroughgood “Thurgood” Marshall.  Mr. Marshall was a civil right lawyer and associate justice off the Supreme Court.
